Welcome to our upcoming concert "6 hands | 1 piano" where Julia Tavit, Damien Heemskerk and Sterre Hond will be performing a unique program consisting of pieces for solo, four-handed and six-handed piano.
In the solo pieces, each pianist will showcase their virtuosity and individual expression. They will perform pieces ranging from classical to contemporary styles, even including some original pieces.
The four handed and six-handed pieces is where those backgrounds will be brought together to create a celebration of teamwork, musicianship and creative synergy. With the four-handed pieces, they are able to tell their stories together, ranging from folk dances to beautiful fairy tales. The piano becomes very intimate when two pianists have a dialogue on the instrument.
Three pianists playing together behind the same instrument is something you don’t get to see often. Together they will even premiere a new piece, written by them for six-handed piano. This form of performance will showcase their individual talents while working seamlessly together to produce a unique sound that will captivate your senses. The funds collected at the concert will be distributed evenly between the two leading non-profits doing an amazing job in fund raising for the earthquake: Bridge to Türkiye Fund and Turkish Philanthropy Funds.
Welkom bij onze aanstaande voorstelling "6 handen | 1 piano", waar Julia Tavit, Damien Heemskerk en Sterre Hond een uniek programma zullen opvoeren dat bestaat uit stukken voor solo, vierhandig en zeshandig piano.
In de solo stukken zal elke pianist diens virtuositeit en individuele expressie tonen. Ze spelen stukken van uit het klassieke tot eigentijdse repertoire, waaronder ook enkele originele stukken. In de vier- en zeshandige stukken worden hun individuele achtergronden samengebracht om een viering van samenwerking en muziekschap te vormen. Met vier handen kunnen ze hun verhalen samen vertellen. Van volksdansen tot prachtige sprookjes: de piano wordt heel intiem wanneer twee pianisten een dialoog met elkaar voeren op het instrument.
Drie pianisten achter hetzelfde instrument is iets wat je niet vaak te zien krijgt in concerten. Samen brengen de musici een nieuw stuk in première, door henzelf geschreven voor zeshandig piano. Hier kunnen ze hun talenten laten zien, terwijl ze samen een uniek geluid produceren dat je nergens anders hoort. Mis deze mogelijkheid, om de magie van pianomuziek op zijn best te horen, niet!
De verdiensten die zijn gecollecteerd bij het concert zullen gelijk verdeeld worden tussen de twee leidende non-profit organisaties die fantastisch werk doen om geld in te zamelen voor slachtoffers van de aardbeving: "Bridge to Türkiye" fonds en "Turkish Philanthropy" fonds.
