CROMA is a trio project that moves between jazz and avant-garde music. It arises from the composition inspired by several short stories written by Guillem Salles, which move between dystopian fiction and costumism.In this way, the tunes take on a character where textures play a very important role and the evolution of the music sometimes results in tunes with suite structures. The live performances combine t heir own composit ions wit h arrangements of jazz standards.
The trio is formed by Vicente Marín on piano, Marc Sánchez on double bass and Guillem Salles on drums and compositions. All three musicians have been studied at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona) and are now continuing their training at European schools such as the Coodarts (Rotterdam) and the Musik Akademie ( Basel ) .
