About KOLONEL Djafaar..
Kolonel Djafaar is a young Belgian Ethio-Jazz band with a psych rock edge and a touch of afrobeat. The band formed in 2016 and they have been searching the borders of their own sound ever since!
With a solid base of percussion, guitar and bass, Kolonel Djafaar provides a moveable groove to which the keys add a psychedelic touch. Let yourself be carried away by the narrative melodies of the four sax & brass players: from subtle additions to tearing solos. The whole gives its very own interpretation of Afrobeat and Ethio-jazz.
About FrEE FLoW JAM ensemble..
The “FrEE FLoW Jam EnSemble” is a changing group of musicians with a variety in backgrounds invited by vocalist B. Sallons aka AliaZ to play an improvised, style-transcending concert with her. The musical journey that’s shared with the audience is built up on stage from the first note on. In the authentic grooves and harmonies that arise, improvisation, connection and original ideas are central. This year vocalist Sallons has been exploring: “The Sounds of the City” This theme will repeatedly ‘show its face’ during the concert.
