Kontrafouris Baby Trio is a manifestation of an organ trio project featuring the renowned Greek organist George Kontrafouris, playing alongside young Cypriot musicians, Alexandros Adam and Nikolas Tsangaris.With Kontrafouris’s extensive experience playing alongside some of the most established names in jazz (Lou Donaldson, Pat Martino, Mark Johnson, Benny Golson, Dave Liebman, etc.), combined with the talent, excitement, creativity and inventiveness of the young musicians, each performance offers something unique within a traditional yet contemporary repertoire.
Kontrafouris Baby Trio pays homage to the great organ trios of the past while also performing original compositions and new arrangements of jazz standards that have never been played before in the organ trio setting!
